Knoll Galleries Vienna + Budapest started the research project on the topic of collecting in former socialist countries in 2009. Our project ´Eastern European Collectors´ makes researches in 9 countries (or probably 10, if including Russia), working with experts from each country and searches the similar and different patterns and the roles of art collections and collecting, and showing people and institutions from each country their influence how the local art scenes in recent years transformed in terms of collecting art.

  1. Excellent site you have here but I was curious if you knew
of any discussion boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article?

I’d really love to be a part of community where I can get advice
from other experienced individuals that share the
same interest. If you have any recommendations,
    please let me know. Kudos!

    • Right now we aren’t working with other discussion boards, but if you are interested in collecting more general we recommend “independent collectors” They have online panels for discussions too. Of course it depends also on your focus… However, our blog is open for everybody with interest in collecting contemporary art. best wishes, Ulrike

  2. I just want to say I’m all new to blogging and site-building and truly enjoyed this blog site. More than likely I’m want to bookmark your blog post . You definitely have exceptional writings. Regards for sharing with us your web-site.

  3. First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to
ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing.
I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like
the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin.

Any ideas or hints? Many thanks!
