Choose a date for the trip between 19th and – 27th of September 2010
This year again the Knoll Gallery Vienna is offering the opportunity to participate in this unique art tour to the dynamic European metropolis with its exciting art scene, including a visit at Art Moscow.
The daily program of our art tour shows all the important or special art museums and institutions, galleries, studios and Art Foundations of Moscow.
We also offer special access to private collections and archives not normally accessible to the public. One day of the trip is fixed for a special sight seeing tour concentrated on Moscow’s architecture, centred on modernity, constructivism, the period of Stalin’s reign, and the recent ten years (with bus). The visit of Art Moscow offers an insight in the actual Russian art scene. In addition there will be talks and meetings with collectors, artists and curators.
A main focus in this years art tour will be studio visits of young Russian artists - we shall present the new keen art scene of Moscow which established besides galleries and institutions, for example with exhibitions in empty flats.
Visits of the Kremlin, the Pushkin Museum and the Tretjakov Gallery, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Laboratoria - a new exhibition space for art and science, as well as the Winzavod - the new gallery and exhibition quarter. During the evenings we offer the possibility to visit openings, receptions and parties, which make it possible to meet the actors in Moscow’s contemporary art scene. Evening meals will be organized together with curators and artists. On your wish our travel agency can book your visit at Bolshoi or any other theatre, as well as a daytrip to Sergijev Posad.
The daily schedule, offered before the start of the art tour, includes precise details of addresses, with telephone numbers and details of the nearest metro stations.
The guided tours will be held in English.
The fantastic Moscow Metro will be our principle means of transport, buses will be organized for a few events. Prior to the tour we offer, per email, continuous preparatory information about Moscow, about the contemporary discourse about Russian art, a literature list etc.
We will stay at the central Hotel Peking***, a building with Stalinist architecture which rooms have been renovated recently.
It is possible for you to choose a date for the trip during the period 19th – 27th September 2010, for example as short trip from 23rd – 26th September or as long term trip from 19th – 26th September (other dates are also possible).
Prospective prices per person: from € 466,-- (short term in the double room, standard, single plus 177,-) to € 866,50 (long term in double room, single plus € 460,50). Included in the price is the breakfast buffet in Hotel Peking, numerous admissions as well as the competent guided tour and our program.
The flights are not included in the offer.
There are cheap flights less than Euro 100,-- if booked early (Austrian or FlyNiki). Our tourist agency may support you by your hotel reservation, flight booking and application for visa. You can also book the flight by your own.

The preliminary deadline for booking is 2nd August 2010, depending on availability of flights and hotel rooms. The art tour will take place from a minimum registration of 10 people.
